The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) will be held on 8th February 2026 across 132 cities in 20 languages. Candidates aspiring to build a career in school-level teaching must qualify CTET to be eligible for recruitment.

CTET 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet educational qualifications based on the teaching level (Primary or Secondary).
Primary Level (Class I to V)
A candidate must have any one of the following qualifications:
- Senior Secondary (50% marks) + Final year in 2-year D.El.Ed
- Senior Secondary (50%) + Final year in 4-year B.El.Ed
- Senior Secondary (50%) + Final year in 2-year Diploma in Special Education
- Graduation + B.Ed (as per NCTE norms)
Secondary Level (Class VI to VIII)
A candidate must have any one of the following:
- Senior Secondary (50%) + Final year in 4-year B.El.Ed
- Graduation (50%) + B.Ed (1 year)
- Senior Secondary (50%) + Final year in 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed
- Graduation (50%) + B.Ed Special Education
- Candidates pursuing teacher education courses recognized by NCTE/RCI are also eligible.
