Eligibility Criteria for REET Mains 2025
Candidates must be REET Qualified (Level-1 for Primary Teachers and Level-2 for Upper Primary Teachers).
Level 1 – Primary Teacher (Class 1 to 5)
General Education
Any one of the following:
- Senior Secondary with 50% marks + 2-year D.El.Ed.
- Senior Secondary with 45% marks + 2-year D.El.Ed. (NCTE 2002 norms)
- Senior Secondary with 50% marks + 4-year B.El.Ed.
- Graduation + 2-year D.El.Ed.
- Must have passed REET Level 1 in relevant subject.
Sanskrit Education
- Senior Upadhyaya with 50% marks + 2-year D.El.Ed.
- Varishtha Upadhyaya with 50% marks + 4-year B.El.Ed.
- Shastri degree + 2-year D.El.Ed.
- Must have passed REET Level 1.
Level 2 – Upper Primary Teacher (Class 6 to 8)
Subjects: Social Science, English, Mathematics, Science, Hindi, Sanskrit
General Qualifications
- Graduation + 2-year D.El.Ed.
- Graduation with 45% marks + 1-year B.Ed.
- Senior Secondary with 50% marks + 4-year B.El.Ed.
- Senior Secondary with 50% marks + 4-year B.A./B.Sc.Ed.
- Post Graduation with 55% marks + 3-year integrated B.Ed./M.Ed.
